OUR APPROACH TO TESTING

Testing

How does Dr. DeSantis & Associates approach testing?

Many individuals struggle with mental illness throughout the course of their life. Some symptoms impair individuals more severely than others. Mental health looks different on everyone. It is important when understanding more about oneself, that the information they are receiving is accurate, and appropriately represents them. A great way to learn more about oneself and to ensure an accurate diagnosis, is by testing.

Testing not only helps the individual to understand their own symptoms and mental health, but it helps others in their life gain a better understating of them as well.

Testing can be used to help individuals across the lifespan. Children could benefit by identifying the need for extra accommodations in school, like obtaining a 504 plan, or an Individual Education Plan (IEP), being placed in therapy that is specific to their needs, and can provide assistance with obtaining medication, increasing self-awareness, and providing peace of mind.

For adults, testing can be utilized to understand oneself better, as well as to find treatments that are tailored to their specific needs, personality style, and symptomatology. Testing can provide resources to help obtain the appropriate medication and accommodations needed at work.

If you or a loved one feel that you are not reaching your full potential due to ongoing mental health issues, testing may be right for you! Please feel free to reach out to DeSantis and Associates, and schedule your intake now.
