First and foremost, Dr. DeSantis offers therapy to individuals, couples, and families who are in need of therapy services. Therapy can sometimes be difficult to seek out, particularly for those with inadequate insurance, but many report the experience of working with a supportive therapist as beneficial for their overall mental health and well-being. At the center of our approach is a caring relationship between Dr. DeSantis and her patients.

 
Clinical Assessment & Evaluation

Clinical Assessment & Evaluation

Clinical assessment is a method of diagnosing, and planning treatment for a patient that involves careful evaluation, in order to figure out the root of a problem. Dr. DeSantis may use the interpretation of standardized tests, as well as behavioral observations, and clinical interviews, for diagnostic assessment grounded in science-based theory, research, and practice.

 
Emotional Support Groups

Group Therapy

Dr. DeSantis offers a variety of different support groups for various symptoms. Support groups are helpful when it comes to building self-esteem, confidence, social skills, coping skills, a sense of connection to others, and hope. The group environment is a safe, positive space to listen and/or join the conversation, leading to personal growth and improved well-being. Some of our groups include:

Telemental Health

Telemental Health Services

Online therapy, or telemental health, is a growing field thanks to the advancement and adaptation of technology and access. Telemental health offers psychologists a tremendous opportunity to care for people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to meet face to face with a practitioner. It is a convenient option for those who would have difficulty finding time to accommodate sessions due to other obligations such as parenting, live in remote areas, or who work unconventional hours. Psychological counseling and support are provided via the internet through video conferencing, online chat, or phone calls.

 
Consultation Services

Consultation Services

It is important to know that you don’t have to face anything alone. Dr. DeSantis has been an approved supervisor of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) since 2015, and can apply her knowledge to communicate with other professionals who work in psychological services, health care, education, social service agencies, legal systems, and more. Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

Dr. DeSantis has her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, and her masters degree and licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy. She has been an American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMF) Approved clinical supervisor since 2015, and has provided clinical supervision and training to master and doctoral level interns and trainees in a variety of clinical settings since 2010. Animal Assisted Therapy

Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)

Animal Assisted Therapy, also known as pet therapy, is a form of therapy that utilizes dogs and other animals to assist people coping with health problems including anxiety, depression, and stress. Visiting with a certified therapy pet in an office setting may provide patients and their families with comfort, relief, and a distraction from emotional or physical pain, discomfort, or stress.
