Dr. Danielle DeSantis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received special certification in Grief Counseling.

She has an extensive clinical background, in which she has worked with various populations and lifespan issues, theoretical orientations, assessment procedures, and modalities of intervention across multiple settings.

Prior to working in her own private practice, she worked in multiple agency settings, residential facilities, university & college counseling centers, and outpatient clinics and hospitals, where she provided assessment and therapeutic services. She’s provided supervision to doctoral students as well as clinicians pre-licensure and post-licensure.

She’s also helped to teach two courses on personal growth, and led multiple support groups for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with multiple issues of change, loss, depression, anger, self-esteem, parenting issues, and grief.

More recently, she ran a large group practice for nearly ten years, in multiple locations, where she provided clinical supervision to staff, and counseled individuals, couples, and families. She also ran a meditation cruise in Greenwich Bay, Rhode Island for five years that focused on mindfulness, and several different forms of meditation.

In her current private practice work, she continues to supervise clinicians and students seeking licensure. She continues to run a large group practice that offers virtual psychological and neuropsychological testing services as well as virtual counseling services for individuals, couples, and families seeking outpatient therapy for a wide range of reasons. She treats individuals across the lifespan (ages 3 and up), and uses a wide range of approaches to fit the presenting issue and person.

Cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, collaborative therapies, and solution focused therapies are just a few approaches she uses in her current practice. She treats depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, anger, weight management, stress, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, and many other issues. She also performs a variety of comprehensive and diagnostic mental health evaluations including testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, personality disorders, and much more. She has performed a number of evaluations for DCYF, school departments, police departments, hospitals, attorneys, medical providers, courts, different state offices, social security disability offices, the general public, and more.
